She is Founder & CEO of REfficient, which provides a reuse and recycling marketplace and services in the Telecom sector. REfficient has been a Certified B Corp since 2012, meaning the company is for profit and for good, and was named six times to the “Best for the World” list for the company’s positive environmental impact. In the last few years, REfficient has ensured 150,000+ items were diverted from landfill annually and into productive reuse.. Stephanie McLarty is an award-winning entrepreneur and champion of corporate sustainable practices. Stephanie has represented Canada internationally for reuse and recycling standards since 2008. She is currently Chair of the Canadian committee on Environmental Standardization for Electronics. In 2014, she was recognized with the inaugural Young Leader Award through Standards Council of Canada for her contributions representing Canada.

After becoming a mom and seeing firsthand the benefit of entrepreneurship, Stephanie launched Wealth of Family, a course and community for moms looking start their own business to avoid going back to a job they dread. Stephanie guides the women to leverage their passions, strengths and values, and look for the intersecting economic opportunity (what someone will pay you for). The first cohort has seen moms start businesses that are good for the environment and community.  

Stephanie is an executive and Past-President on the McMaster Alumni Association, on the McMaster Board of Governors and an Advisor to startup TrustClarity. Stephanie has a degree in Arts & Science from McMaster University and a MA from the University of Innsbruck, Austria.
