In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Sonya Brar. Giving up a corporate career in the fashion industry that was no longer fulfilling her, in 2011, Sonya took on her first yoga teacher training with Modo Yoga and hasn’t looked back since. Becoming a successful yoga instructor in the city, and then loving the work she was doing with prenatal yoga took her into the direction of being a birth doula. Her motto is live to learn and as she has evolved and grown she has continued to take on wearing more and more capes, she is also thriving as a reiki practitioner and wellness coach. Her focus has consistently been about supporting women through all layers of their own growth. She develops programs to help women break through the obstacles that are leaving them feeling unfulfilled and disconnected on a mind, body and soul level. Women lose their connection to themselves and their feminine energy when they are driven by the masculine energy of modern society. Sonya shares the practice of bringing these energies into balance and reconnecting women with their inner wisdom and authentic expression.
