Hello Friends, I am Julie Walz and I reside in Central Illinois with my Dreamy husband, three well mannered children (wink wink) and two wild dogs. I grew up in a small town during the 80’s.  Where simple times meant simplistic life and mindsets.  I grew up in a typical midwestern family with values that stemmed from hard work equals fun and play.  Problems were someone else’s issues and not so much applicable to me.  However, years later I would learn otherwise.  I became a chronic migraine sufferer after my son was born in 2007.  As it progressed, I began experiencing other chronic issues which lead to many hospital stays as well as multiple rounds of medication and a few unexpected surgeries.  I traveled to Mayo in Rochester, Minnesota to further understand more recent diagnoses.  There I learned about conditioned stress issues related to health issues.  After I began experiencing loss of memory, dizzy spells, loss of balance, massive weight loss, focal seizures and night blindness, extreme fatigue, bedridden and home bound with about 60 + symptoms, I was diagnosed with Mold illness and Lyme disease.  Unfortunately, I chased the bacteria with months of harsh rounds of multiple antibiotic treatments, a few years of loads of supplements, detox modalities for the mold illness and finally decided on Bee Venom Therapy.  I stung myself with close to 30 honey bees weekly (totaling aprox. 2200 bees) for close to 15 months with some minor success in my health condition. Note- I became a beekeeper.. to give back to the bee community. I turned to Stem cell therapies and a few weeks of daily infusions and treatments at a treatment center in California within 2 years of my initial Lyme disease diagnosis.  I found that the outcomes for the stem cell treatment was less desirable due to a left untreated conditioned stress response.  I was disappointed and was suffering from severe encephalitis.

So, I began looking further for my golden ticket out of chronic illness hell by traveling to Michigan monthly for rounds of peptide injections for over a year. Again continually looking outside myself for the answers to healing my body. Then I realized that my mind was contributing to many of the chronic conditions I was experiencing. I dove into human psychology and looked at the facets of my conscious and subconscious thinking and realized that my body was in a state of chronic PTSD and had been for many years prior due to childhood traumas and late adolescent trauma.  I was continually feeding the fear by chasing every treatment modality that I could get my hands on. I decided to take a deep dive into an emerging scientific field called PYSCHONEUROIMMUNOLOGY.  There I realized that I could find the answer within the programming part of my brain.  I began seeking rewiring programs or biohacking programs for the brain. I took a deep dive into a few programs and found small incremental shifts in my health as well as my approach to life.  As I emerged from the depths of chronic illness hell.. I recognized the strength I had to heal my mind and my body by reprogramming (flipping) my thinking and then looking at subconscious and unconscious behaviors to shift towards the life I always wanted.  In addition, I discovered the importance of understanding one's natural temperament.  Temperament is how you innately react to your environment.  As you age and have life experiences, you form belief systems that directly correlate to your temperament.  It is an important piece to all human development.

During this health journey experience, I achieved a mindfulness instructor certification from John Kabat Zinn’s School of Mindfulness in Medicine and Health Care as well as School Instruction ™. I am an undergraduate from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.  In addition, I have a Masters Degree In Human Service Administration that coincides with Counseling and Psychology from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Prior to my stay at home mom role, I worked for Abbott Laboratories selling and marketing products for the healthcare industry which ranged from Pharmaceutical to Lab Diagnostic Equipment.  I am hopeful that my experience in working in these roles will in turn help people overcome challenges that they may be facing and help them create plans to effectively achieve process and outcome goals. In recent months, I received certification in BJ Fogg’s behavioral studies course in the Tiny Habits Academy ®.  I recognized the importance of temperament as it relates to behavior and habit formation.  This highly studied and fully researched nationally certified process is instrumental in the shifting of our behaviors and we offer action plans to help those who want to make incremental and lasting changes in their lives.  I am also a former radio host on WZND and credit this experience to sharing pertinent formatted content through our Instagram Lives and upcoming podcast show. Stay tuned to learn more about The Flip N’ Shift Podcast.  I look forward to working with you and cannot wait to see you overcome any challenge and achieve any goal you set for yourself by learning our process to effectively……
