Mel is the creator and founder of Mellow Bliss, a unique business encompassing a pop-up boutique shop and holistic healing service. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts with honours as well as a Bachelor of Education and graudated from York University on the Dean’s honour roll. She also holds a Fashion design Diploma and a Visual merchandising Arts diploma.
Shortly after completing her education in 2008 and realizing that she did not want to pursue a teaching career in the school system, she decided to take a different path. A deep calling to travel the world primarily to re-discover herself and to journey on the spiritual path had been long calling her. She had spent an extensive amount of time travelling since she was 3 years old, and so embarking on this journey felt natural. Many of her travel journey’s allowed her to learn what the books did not teach her, delving deep and learning about other cultures as well as how she fits into the world. It was on her travel journey that she not only found her life partner but also found her life calling.
In 2012, Meleny birthed her business which embodied the two things she was most passionate about. Fashion and Healing. She runs a pop-up boutique shop and you can catch her at local festivals across Ontario, her pieces are also carried in boutiques in The Dominican Republic and Mexico. Unique garments for women and girls inspired with the beach lover and free spirit in mind. She specializes in handmade crochet beach wear and designs her pieces using high vibrational quality, style and colours ensuring her collection is ethically produced. Coupled with her pop-up shop and love for designing beach wear she is a registered Reiki practitioner, intuitive guide and healing teacher.
In 2012 she was awarded a 9th generation Reiki Master in Chiang Mai Thailand and is honoured to be from the direct Usui lineage. She has studied alongside leading experts and teachers in the field of energy and alternative medicine, which has lead her to work with clients from many walks of life. Known as “The Travel Master” Meleny predominantly does remote reiki sessions known as distant healing and guides others into healing from the comfort of their homes or in person. She has worked on clients in her hometown of innisfil, Ontario and all across the GTA as well as Mexico, California, Sedona and The Dominican Republic being her favorite places to travel and practice. “Reiki travels where it needs, when it needs” she believes we are always exactly where we need to be and that divine timing is everything. Everyone who crosses her path by the grace of Reiki has arrived on her path for the same calling. To rediscover their authentic selves and to reclaim their power. This has been her greatest learning and empowering and teaching others to awaken and tap into their own healing capabilities is her gift.
