Louisa Eleftheriou Episode
In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Louisa Eleftheriou. Louisa is a soprano and educator based right here in Toronto. In this episode we discuss performing, teaching, philanthropy, finding your true authentic self and spiritual awakening.
It’s not every soprano who can boast degrees in Sociology, Humanities and Education, but then again, Louisa Eleftheriou isn’t your average soprano.
Louisa studied Vocal Performance at The Glenn Gould Professional School of The Royal Conservatory of Music after completing an Honours degree at York University. She then immersed herself in performances with Royal Opera Canada, Opera Mississauga and local musical theatre groups. She is the recipient of several vocal competitions through NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) throughout Canada and the US. She takes great pride in being able to perform for special events throughout the GTA.
Louisa is celebrated for her angelic voice and her innate ability to evoke emotions from her audience. She is very passionate about sharing her voice to worthy causes that help make a difference to the lives of others.
Her musical and academic journey took her to the University of Toronto where she obtained her teaching degree specializing in the secondary school level. She has received a teaching award of distinction for her philanthropic work within the community and empowering teenagers to see their own leadership potential.
After becoming a mother, Louisa faced health issues which contributed to her “spiritual awakening” as she was not getting the answers she wanted from Western medicine. Thus, she embarked on a journey to find answers that would support her health to finding herself being mentored by medicine women and life coaches. As she re-discovered her “true authentic self” and learned to embrace and honour herself as a highly sensitive person with innate intuition, Louisa became a Reiki Master which she believes helps her connect on an even deeper level to her audience while performing and to her students.
